"Dim Nachttag"

Kosmoberkh (later known as Mosaikh) started as a one man acoustic project in 2011. In late 2014 Kosmoberkh composer David Barteczko recorded all guitars for „Dim Nachttag“ at Tonmeisterei Oldenburg. In the turn of the new year 2015 David and Alex Pojda (audio engineer of former Kosmoberkh EPs) met to share some ideas on where to go with the songs. At that time Alex was working on building up what is known as „Holodeck Studio“ today. While the duo was constantly doing their improvised „Holodeck Sessions“ Alex figured out drum tunings which worked out well for the Dropped A-acoustic Parts. Alex finally accomplished drums for „Dim Nachttag“ and recorded them at the same time. Being occasionally in Oldenburg violinist Paula Töpper matched up with the duo to record her improvised and spiritful violin parts. When Thorge Freidel joined in playing bass, he completed the sound of Kosmoberkh with his massive Dropped A-Bass-Chords.

„Dim Nachttag“ was originally meant to be the title of a novelle which never got finished. Like „good day“ the title was thought of a unspoken kind of greeting to all those who make night to their day (Nachttag). The story was about someone living in an urban futuristic city, which is described in a dim mood, longing for love and salvation. Lines of the fragment and other written poems we're going to be the lyrics of all „Dim Nachttag“ songs, but never made it onto the record:

Dim Nachttag I

Mein Weg beginnt hier
"Dim Nachttag."

A Muse Meant

Ein Zufall fällt mir zu.
Synchron zum Traum. Takt. Bruch – Strich.
Streichelt eine Hand mein vernarbtes Gesicht.
Und Licht bricht los.
Meine Muse und ich
liegen verspielt auf dem Teppich.
Ein Selbstentwurf. Scherbenflut.
Danach Laternenumzug.

Farbenwelt

In Meeres Tiefen tränkst du dein Gehör,
dir gehört sein Klang und die Stille,
die sich klammheimlich um dich webt.
Vertraut befremdlich.
Wo Menschen sich treffen, öffnen sich Wunden.

Zeichenlos

Was bedeuten wir?
Zeichenlos deuten wir,
treiben trostlos in Phantasien.
