Zeitfenster 04:02

about

KOSMOBERKH's EP „Zeitfenster“ was anticipating the shape of things to come later in the artist's band Mosaikh. While the former EP „Urbild“ occassionally lacked some definition and consequence in playing, songs like „Zeitfenster“ and „Tunnelblick“ appear to be much more developed and focussed in technique. There's some tension in the first two songs, which is hard to describe, expressing itself more directly in the social critique of its lyrics. „Zeitfenster“ (window of time) illustrates the labour's reducement to abstraction, visualizing (self-)oppression observed in the measurement of seconds, minutes and hours. „Tunnelblick“ (tunnel vision) describes the self-delusion of a pseudo-form of critique projecting its viewpoint onto a consumerism scenery, exposing itself most harshly within the last line of its tunnel vision: „we are the tunnel at the end of the light“. The EP's final song „Blinder Fleck“ is a pre-version of the last song later to appear on „Dim Nachttag“.

„Zeitfenster“ was the final recording observed by Alex Pojda in his former student's flat 1/34 Studios before leaving and heading for his Holodeck Studio.
